Mitchell Garabedian, (AP) – A prominent advocate for victims of clergy sex abuse Boston area on Wednesday released a new list of accused abusers, saying it was time to “put an end to secrecy.”

The list includes the names of previously undisclosed 19 Catholic priests, brothers and a deacon Mitchell Advocate”Garabedian said were among those charged in many cases his company settled with the church ” tens of millions “of dollars.

“Mitchell Garabedian”a a list of 117″ religious workers “involved in cases of clergy sexual abuse. Include the names of 12 priests of the Archdiocese of Boston says death before being accused of abuse.
A partial list of accused Catholic clergy and staff yesterday released 19 names includes never publicly linked the clergy abuse scandal, said its author, including four who served in parishes MetroWest.

Boston attorney Mitchell “Garabedian”dit of 117 Catholic clergy and staff on his list were appointed in proceedings in which his client won or arbitration regulations.

He said he decided to publish the names, after becoming increasingly frustrated with Cardinal Sean O’Malley and the Archdiocese of Boston for promising but failing to display a complete list of the accused.

“He did not,” said Garabedian. “So I felt I needed to do.”

The archdiocese already knows when clergy are removed from active ministry for a survey on violence and when a defrocked priest is found guilty, spokeswoman Kelly Lynch said by e-mail.

The archdiocese remains “committed to expanding” its policy of disclosure of the accusations credible, the leaders said in a statement released by Lynch.

But we must also consider due process, where guilt or innocence has not been demonstrated and where the accused died, making it difficult to conduct a thorough and fair investigation.

“At this moment, our work on this important enterprise is underway,” said the archdiocese. “We continue to assess the complexity of this initiative.”
