Miss Universe, Miss Australia, Scherri-Lee Biggs, was only one place in the top 10 of Miss Universe in spite of being a heavy favorite to take home the coveted title. Considered one of the top contenders after being unofficially named “the most beautiful face in the competition, the beauty of Perth no doubt be disappointed to have failed to do so in the top 5.

Miss Universe

Must still be considered as an achievement Biggs to have reached 10, while competing with 88 women.

Held in Sao Paulo, the Miss Universe was celebrating its 60 years and has certainly caused many topics of conversation in the course of the competition. Miss Colombia attracted its fair share of intrigue and the wrath of the reports circulating in the run up to the competition was photographed in a short dress without underwear to hide their modesty. Our own Miss Australia has been mired in controversy as well as her evening gown was decreed to be too simple to the point of being transparent. She also instructed to make changes in her bikini, the element of offense was apparently deemed “too sxy”.

Biggs has won its fair share of obstacles to become one of the 10 contestants of Miss Universe. When first declared the last Miss Australia, there were some rumors online of Australians who felt offended by Biggs, even being allowed to compete for the title since he was born in South Africa. Despite the initial stumbling blocks, the press coverage around the age of 21, certainly seems to indicate that Australia is willing to talk openly embrace as a representative of the country.

Despite not taking home the title, Biggs certainly be praised for their efforts in Sao Paulo and the world will host the first Miss Angola as a worthy winner.
