Based on the most recent Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc., Supsup received 25 percent of the total votes in the Miss Universe online.
Viviana Ortiz of Puerto Rico 745 followed Supsup, with a total of 1,578 votes.
In a statement published in “TV Patrol” on Friday, Supsup extended her sincere appreciation to the Filipino people for their unwavering support.
She said: “Thank you for always praying for me and support me. It’s been a roller coaster and I’m getting my strength of all Filipinos who kept sending me messages on FB and Twitter. Thanks. I’ll be doing my best “.
The survey of 2,011 people Miss Universe online option will be open until September 11.
The winner of this event online voting will automatically slot in the semifinals of Miss Universe 2011 pageant.
Anyone can vote 10 times per day for each e-mail.
In another polling station in line initiated by the television network Telemundo, Supsup also took the lead with 1,288,817 votes.
Venezuela came in a close second with 1,0671,101, and Nicaragua, won third place with 688,234.
