Miss Philippines 2011Miss Philippines 2011, One contestant was crowned Miss Universe 2011 pageant, held on 12 September in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Warning: SPOILER ALERT! Leila Lopes Miss Angola was crowned Miss Universe, beating 88 other competitors.

The first runner was 23 years old, Olesia Stefanko of Ukraine and the second runner up was Priscilla Machado Brazil. The third was Miss Philippines and Miss China’s room.

The beauty of 25-year-old dazzled the judges responding to an interview question about what physical trait that would change if I could.

“Thank God I’m very pleased with the way God created me and would not change anything,” Lopes said when asked her question of the interview, according to the Associated Press. “I am a woman with inner beauty. I have acquired many of the wonderful principles of my family and I have the intention to continue these for the rest of my life.”

Lopes was born in Benguela, Angola parents immigrants from Cienfuegos, Cuba. She is a student of business administration in Britain. Angola is a county in south-central Africa and is the country Lopes won the first Miss Universe.

The contest was hosted by Natalie Morales, news anchor and co-host of NBC’s “Today” and Andy Cohen, Bravo lot of “Look what happens:. Live” Among the seven celebrity judges were Connie Chung, Vivica Fox and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Adrienne Maloof.

Before the contest began, the judges provide little information on who they thought could win.

“I know my job and I’m going to be tough, but fair,” said Chung. “Keep in mind that these women are not only objects to be looked at. They are to be taken seriously. I want to choose someone who is serious and the world is serious, too.”

Eighty-nine contestants from around the world competed for the crown of Miss Universe, Miss USA Alyssa Campanella as. There has been an American from Miss Universe Brook Lee won the title in 1997.

Participants spent the last three weeks in Sao Paulo, trying to learn samba dance steps, visiting poor children and kick around a soccer ball.

To qualify for the pageant, contestants must not have been married or had children and must be at least 18 years of age and under 27 years old on February 1 of the year competition.

Local media reported that some of the contestants complained about the size of the bikinis used in some photo shoots, Miss Mexico Karin Ontiveros said they were “very small”.

The contest began as a swimsuit magazine local Long Beach, California, organized by a swimsuit company.

Leila Lopes replaces the former Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete Mexico and Miss Universe.

The 2011 Miss Universe pageant was broadcast live at 9 pm ET on NBC.
