Miss Mississippi 2011, People in Mississippi are known about Alzheimer’s disease over the next year. Mary Margaret Roark, founder of J.E.W.E.L.S. Alzheimer’s, was crowned Miss Mississippi 2011 Saturday night. “JEWELS For Alzheimer’s disease is my personal campaign to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association,” he wrote on her website. “In addition to volunteering at the centers and co-organizing events of Alzheimer’s, who have started a line of jewelry to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“In collaboration with ABJewels, we created a design based on the logo of the Alzheimer’s Association. All proceeds from jewelry sales are donated to the local Alzheimer’s Association in Mississippi.”
Besides traveling the state talking about Alzheimer’s disease, which will campaign for the Miracle Network children’s hospitals and other charities supported by Miss America and Miss Mississippi organizations.
Mary Margaret studied broadcasting at Mississippi State University.

Mary Margaret will represent Mississippi in the Miss America 2012, next January in Las Vegas.
