However, incentives can change everything. Just ask nonprofit Get Educated, which launched its own challenge this spring – Get Motivated Challenge – a six-week competition among 25 high schools across the country to improve daily attendance with sweet prizes at stake. Not only the dictionary of the Academy High School in Chicago – the winner – received three and 10 000 college scholarships for top students, the school also received a surprise visit from a major superstar and graduate high school on Thursday.
