Mike Huckabee Radio Show

April 9, 2012 by staff

Mike Huckabee Radio Show, Mike Huckabee is launching a new nationally syndicated radio show today at Noon. The significance of Noon is that is the same time Rush Limbaugh airs his program. Many others have tried to dislodge fans away from Rush Limbaugh, including former Senator Fred Thompson. None have succeeded.

So will Huckabee become another on a long list of former politicians who enter talk radio to make a quick buck, only to flame out 6 or 12 months later? It’s tough to predict who will make it in the talk radio business, but Huckabee does have impressive communication skills. He is able to convey sincere conservative beliefs and still come across as friendly, agreeable and even entertaining.

People often think of Huckabee as a politician or as a former preacher. But he actually got his start as a PR guy for a TV preacher. In other words, Huckabee’s origins are media and communication, not policy or theology. That’s why I predict Huckabee’s show will be a huge success. I doubt Rush will lose most of his audience, but Huckabee will build enough of his own audience to be a significant political and financial player on the talk radio landscape.
