Mickey Rooney, Mickey Rooney (born September 23, 1920) is an American actor of film and entertainment including film, television and stage appearances spans almost his entire life. During his career he has won several awards including an honorary award for Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. Working as an interpreter since he was a small child, he was a superstar as a teenager for films in which he played Andy Hardy, and he was one of the longest careers of any actor.

Rooney later claimed that during his days Mickey McGuire, he met cartoonist Walt Disney studio Warner Brothers and Disney was inspired to name Mickey Mouse after him, [4], although Disney always said he changed the name “Mortimer Mouse” to “Mickey Mouse” at the suggestion of his wife.

During a break in the series in 1932, Mrs. Yule made plans to take his son in a vaudeville tour as McGuire ten weeks, and Fox sued successfully to stop using the name. Mrs. Yule suggested the stage name of “Mickey Looney” for his son actor, which he amended slightly for Rooney, a less frivolous. [2] Rooney did other films in his teens, including several other films in the McGuire and signed with MGM in 1934. MGM cast Rooney as the teenage son of a judge in 1937 a family affair, setting Rooney on the way to another successful series of films.

Rooney continues to work in films and toured with his wife in multi-media live staging a show called Let’s!
