Michael BloombergMichael Bloomberg, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said New Yorkers should observe the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in looking to the future.

Bloomberg said in an interview with the CBS News program “Face the Nation” that the anniversary is “a time to rededicate ourselves to look ahead.”

He said people who died in the World Trade Center were working for a living to care for their families.

Bloomberg said that life must work to ensure that families of the deceased have good schools and good jobs.

In the morning broadcast interview Sunday, Bloomberg also said New York “is probably the safest city in the world.” He said the city has 1,000 police officers dedicated to intelligence and countert*rror*sm.
