Mel Gibson Defends Troubled Actor

Mel Gibson Defends Troubled Actor, Shia LaBeouf’s public fall from grace may be painful to watch, but a fellow fallen star has his back. Mel Gibson, who’s now known less for his blockbuster Hollywood career and more for his drunken anti-semitism and domestic abuse accusations, has come to LaBeouf’s defense.

Gibson was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Czech Republic’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. While there he shared his feelings on Shia in an exclusive interview with IndieWire.

And Gibson isn’t stopping there. Now he’s also coming to the defense of fellow outspoken actor Gary Oldman. Oldman stirred up a media firestorm after he made his own anti-semitic comments in Pl**yboy Magazine, where he tried to defend none other than Mel Gibson.
