The winning ticket was sold at Wesley’s Restaurant and Lounge in Elkton, Maryland, according to KYTX CBS 19. The lump sum payout will be almost $52 million.
Business owner John Wesley said the winner had already called to confirm his numbers. ” The guy said, “I’ll be there in two days to see you. I want everything to settle down a little,” Wesley said.
The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, December 24 were 14-16-30-51-52, and the Powerball was 19. According to the Washington Post, seven players matched the first five numbers without the Powerball to earn $200,000, one of them being from New Jersey.
