Media Matters, CNN’s Rick Sanchez recently spoke with Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert for the decline in attendance Tea Party rally.
“There were more people to appear the week for the opening of new Apple stores in Philadelphia last presented at the Tea Party Rally. As you said he expects three or four thousand. They had the right celebrity Andrew Breitbart was talking about, you know he flew across the country to be there. The red flags went up in the spring: Sarah Palin in the Boston Commons – is supposed to be the rock star of this phenomenon, the phenomenon of base – five thousand people showed up! That’s not very impressive, and suggests that a national phenomenon.
Mark Skoda, president of the Memphis Group tea, appeared in the segment as well, noting that tea Partiers are more focused now on elections and local problems instead of creating a national movement of assembly.
