MC Hammer Reveals Search Engine

MC Hammer Reveals Search Engine, In a rare addition to the Web 2.0 conference in San Francisco last week, former rapper MC Hammer announced it was launching a search engine called Wiredoo.com (Yes, we read ‘freak’ as well).
He explained that while there is no need for a new search engine, there is a gap in improving search capabilities, “It is an attempt to recreate the search competition [but] you can always improve things. There is always a next version. Do we really need another search engine? Of course not. But if anything can be an added value, then we will find a definite use for it. ”
He said that Wiredoo.com is aimed at “deep search” and uses the example of the search for “homes” that displays information about certain neighborhoods such as schools, places of interest, etc.
Hammer does not give too much information about how exactly this would work, but we would assume that they need some kind of profile (like Google curiously) to store all the information necessary for contextual search.
The website (very basic) is currently in beta, but those interested can register with your name and email address to receive updates on the availability of the site.
