Mavericks Surf Contest 2010 | USsPost.com:The most awaited monster waves have started arriving at the mavericks, here is the latest news on the contest:
The surfers are being embraced by 40 to 50 foot high waves, which is just a spectacular beginning for the mavericks surf 2010 contest.
Surfers are fighting for fame and a price whopping 150,000 American dollars. All participants will score on two best waves on the heat. The highest points will then be doubled and added to the next high score. Top three surfers from each heat will make place into the semifinals.
All major social networks like Facebook and Twitter are flooded with messages about the mavericks contest. Go check it out there is only 3 hours of event left!
Results for heat one:
The first heat of the contest was all about Darryl Virostko, Dave Wassell, Evan Slater, Ion Banner, Grant Baker and Tyler Smith.
Darryl from Santa Cruz is winner of first three contests, made an easy spot to the top followed by Grant Baker and Dave.
Darryl Virostko showed up many spectacular wipeouts, and thrilled the viewers on beach and the internet.
Results for heat two:
Santa Cruz surfers continued being the winner as Peter Mel and Anthony from Santa Cruz took the top two positions.
