Matthew announced plans to seek treatment with a cheeky statement style Chandler Bing, “I’m making plans to leave for a month to focus on my sobriety and continue my life in recovery. Please enjoy making fun of me in the World Wide Web. “I never make fun of you, Matt.
Matthew plans to take a month off work as a preventive measure, and his spokesman insists he has not suffered a relapse. Matthew has entered rehab twice before he became addicted to Vicodin after a skiing accident and admitted to taking 20 to 30 pills a day before a stay of 28 days in the Hazelden Foundation in 1997. Then, in 2001, Matthew entered the Promises Center for treatment after he had been hospitalized with pancreatitis due to excessive consumption of alcohol.
