Matt Mcgloin Seizure, The Penn State football program just cannot seem to escape controversy. Starting quarterback Matt McGloin was injured Saturday following practice after getting into a scuffle with wide receiver Curtis Drake at the Lasch Football Building.

Punches were thrown. McGloin slipped to the ground and hit his head after being punched by Drake, sources told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

McGloin’s father, Paul, said his son suffered a seizure and has a possible concussion, but said he was back at his apartment Saturday night after being treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Penn State police and the school’s Office of Judicial Affairs is investigating the incident and will report the results as it would for any other student involved in an incident on campus, the university said in a statement.

Penn State’s players were summoned to an emergency meeting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The meeting lasted 10 minutes. Drake attended, but McGloin did not.

Afterward, starting left tackle and fifth-year senior co-captain Quinn Barham said: “Everything is going to be OK.”

Asked if McGloin was going to be OK, quarterback Paul Jones said: “I hope so.”
