Matt Mcgloin Penn State Fight, Penn State University starting quarterback Matt McGolin was involved in a post-practice altercation with junior wide receiver Curtis Drake Saturday, and was sent to the hospital after being knocked out and suffering a seizure.
Penn State University’s starting quarterback Matt McGloin was briefly hospitalized Saturday after a physical altercation with junior wide receiver Curtis Drake led to the senior having a seizure and being taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center. According to reports, McGloin and Drake were in involved in a post-practice argument and fight, which led to the quarterback ending up on the ground.

Reports also state that McGloin was taken the Mount Nittany Medical Center were he was later released Saturday night.

“The Patriot-News spoke with Paul McGloin, Matt’s father, by phone early Saturday evening. He said he was told by doctors that his son was treated for a seizure at Mount Nittany Medical Center and likely suffered a concussion.

McGloin was released from the hospital later in the afternoon and was back at his apartment Saturday night, surrounded by a few teammates, his father and mother, Cathy McGloin.”

According to the the Associated Press, the school’s campus police and judicial affairs will investigate. The Nittany Lions (9-3) were preparing for Houston Cougars (12-1), who they will play in the the Ticket City Bowl on Jan. 2 in Dallas, TX.
