Matt LeBlanc No Friends Reunion, Matt LeBlanc has ruled out a Friends reunion, saying that he wouldn’t want to disappoint fans of the 1990s sitcom. The 44-year-old rose to fame with his role as Joey on the NBC show, which also starred Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry. LeBlanc recently returned to television on the BBC Two and Showtime comedy Episodes, in which he plays himself.
When asked if would be open to a TV reunion with his Friends castmates, the actor told Entertainment Weekly: “I don’t want to see old Joey.” The television star went on to explain that a reunion wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t capture what the series was about. “That show was about a finite period of time,” LeBlanc said. “Before you got married and went off to start your life with a family.
It was that magical time that everyone can relate to. To see what we’re all doing now… I’d rather imagine that.” Leblanc also admitted that letting down fans of the show is a huge deterrent.
