Marvin SonsonaMarvin Sonsona, Befitting the title to promote the card, the former world champion Marvin Sonsona superflyweight is back with a vengeance.

The southpaw Sonsona 21 years of age, Mexican artist Carlos Jacobo decision knockout Saturday night at the Dome of rings spanking here.

Returning from a hiatus of 20 months, Sonsona showed no signs of ring rust as James dotted with stiff jabs the stairs to the left, with floor of Mexicans in the eighth canto with a left to right uppercut combination of straight , and then managed a convincing 10 – 97-92 points win 98-91 round and identical in the two other cards.

“I’m still looking for my time. The Mexican is difficult, but I felt I needed a couple more rounds before knocking him out. It’s been a long time, but I’m very happy with this victory,” said Sonsona.

Sonsona later admitted that his career took for granted by spending time with so-called friends, which really only took advantage of the wealth of the former champion.

“I learned my lesson and now I am determined to regain my stature. Give me two or three more fights. By then, I would be able to fight for a world title,” said Sonsona.

Sonsona last fight was a loss of a fourth-round TKO to Puerto Rican Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. in a bout for the vacant World Boxing Organization crown Superbantamweight February last year in Puerto Rico.
