Martin Guingona Lamb, Senator Teofisto Guingona III called on Thursday for the privacy of his family for the death of his nephew, Martin Lamb Guingona, who may have jumped from 31st floor of a hotel in Muntinlupa City Thursday.

“I was informed that his death may have been caused by personal interests. We understand that the brand is young and may have been unable to bear the burden of such concerns. The intensity of pain is known only to him,” said the senator.

Cordero, a student at La Salle University-Manila, is a son of the senator’s sister, Marie Guingona Lamb. His father, Teofisto Jr., is president of the country’s former vice president.

“In times like these, our family hopes that we, mourn, go through the process and pain of this tragic experience in the private sector. We also hope that Mark was allowed her own privacy in his last moments,” Guingona said.

Cordero, 20, reportedly jumped from the floor 31 of the elegant Hotel Vivere Alabang, Muntinlupa City about 2:45 am Thursday.

Police said Lamb was having drinks with friends in the hotel bar before the incident occurred.

Authorities had Lamb remains to funeral homes for autopsy Rizal.
