Mark Wahlberg 9/11

December 11, 2011 by staff

Mark Wahlberg 9/11, Actor Mark Wahlberg says he’s still hauntedby the horrors of Sept. 11, 2001 because on that day he was booked on United Airlines Flight 93, which was hijacked by Al-Qaida terrorists. Brave passengers fought the hijackers for control of the plane, which crashed in a Pennsylvania field, killing all aboard.

Mark Wahlberg and friends were booked as passengers on the flight from Boston to L.A. The actor, perhaps best know for roles in A Perfect Storm, Boogie Nights and Shooter, changed his mind at the last minute, however, and decided to fly to Toronto to attend a film festival.

The actor didn’t disclose this eerie connection to 9/11 until several years later and says the near-miss continues to give him nightmares.

“We certainly would have tried to do something to fight,” Wahlberg said. “I’ve had probably over 50 dreams about it.”

Oh good grief: have you heard of the word “facts” before? If he was flying between Boston and LA, then he was booked on United 175, which was the second plane to
crash into the World Trade Center. United 93, which you have incorrectly identified here as the flight he was booked on, operated between Newark, NJ, and San Francisco, CA.
