Manassas Shooting, (AP) – A man from El Salvador was charged with three counts of murder in a series of shootings in the Washington suburbs in Virginia, authorities said Friday.Jose Reyes Oswaldo Alfaro, an illegal immigrant who was ordered deported to El Salvador a decade ago, but never left, was charged with the pair of attacks just blocks apart Thursday night that left three dead and three others injured, Police Chief Doug Manassas Keen said.

The district has experienced a good amount of crime and gang activity, but the chief Keen said the murders were not gang-Alfaro and Mr. Reyes had any relationship with all victims. Police are continuing the investigation into the exact nature of these relationships.

Chief Keen said 56-year-old Brenda Ashcraft and 37 years, William Ashcraft was killed in the first attack. A 34-year-old woman was injured and remains hospitalized, and a young girl of 15 was treated and released. In the second attack, said Chief Keen, 48, Julio Cesar Ulloa was killed and a woman aged 77 suffered injuries to the head of a large knife. The other victims were all shot.
