Man Allegedly Killed A Bobcat, A California man has been charged after shooting and eating a bobcat he said had killed five of his roosters, which sheriff’s deputies alleged were being raised for cckfighting, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Henry Arnibal, 38, of Morgan Hill, was also charged with possessing and using methamphetamine when he was arrested Nov. 7 by Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies looking for a marijuana farm near his trailer. Deputies confiscated 50 roosters, ankle gaffs used in illegal cckfights and “the preserved carcass of the bobcat,” the paper writes.
A Santa Clara assistant district attorney points out it’s illegal to kill a bobcat without a permit. Arnibal is due back in court Nov. 22.
