Magnetic Bubbles, Giant magnetic bubbles may be suspended at the edge of our solar system, NASA researchers revealed today in the journal Astrophysical Journal. The news comes from data and observations by NASA’s Voyager probes. The findings challenge some traditional assumptions on the edge of our solar system, indicating that the edge of the solar system is much more chaotic and unstable than previously thought.
Researchers say the results will probably change the way science considers the interaction of stars, gases, then the sun and other elements.
For many years, researchers believed that the heliopause, which is the space between interstellar space and our solar system, the curve in an arc. The new findings challenge this theory.
The two Voyager probes, which began in 1970 s? Have traveled more than 9000 million miles from Earth and have come to the region as the heliopause.
The scientists were impressed by the differences in the particles that each probe was found. According to computer calculations, considering that the probes were found magnetic bubbles, and that seemed to be the best possible reason for the differences, such as magnetic bubbles trap particles.
The bubbles can occur due to the interaction between the Sun and its magnetic field.
The bubbles are not round but elongated, and they are huge. Some of about 100 million miles long.
The researchers say they need more data to be sure, and are awaiting approval from the implementation of more probes like Voyager, but loaded with technology far superior to today.
Meanwhile, NASA continues to receive a lot of interesting facts about our solar system, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, which have been diligently recording and reporting back their results since 1977 and continue to travel further from our planet.
