Madonna’s Fashion Line, Given the trend is for celebrities to be named to the nines, it was only a matter of time before Madonna slapped him in the name of a fashion line … for adults. Yes, she already has a juniors line “with her daughter Lourdes, Material Girl, but the whole company has done nothing for her core fans … who grew up in Madge. But that’s why this new line directed at women, called Madonna Truth Or Dare, is “Like a Prayer”, which is answered! No?
Well, OK, let’s not start whipping out our credit cards yet. There is something about the shape of the line described so far that is a bit strange.
Apparently, the “lifestyle brand” is meant to attract women 27-50 years of age. Madge Accessories for the inclusion of women around her age (she’s 53), but I’m not sure I can see a line that would be appropriate for women of my age and the age of my mother. Sure, there are plenty of items that can be used by both Millennials and Boomers, but between the two, there is a noticeable age difference, and there are notable differences in our tastes when it comes to color, printing, design, etc.
As much as I want to be able to walk into Nordstrom and pick a dress that fits perfectly designed Madonna in my closet, I’m thinking I probably would have done well to focus even more on the line their own age group. Because, unfortunately, not much in the way of “fashion” moderately priced clothing for women who are, for example, 45 +.
Sure, from time to time, you have a designer finish line, but even those who tend to err towards juniors territory. “No woman wants to wear clothes that are concerned that look like they were trying too hard to” dress young “and on the other hand, is in her 50s should not mean being relegated to the sections of the department store frequented by seniors! is an enigma.
