Madonna Youtube Girls Gone Wild

March 26, 2012 by staff

Madonna Youtube Girls Gone Wild, Madonna has defended her video for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ after it was banned on open view by YouTube for being too “raunchy”. Yesterday (March 25), it was reported that the promo for the single would not be available to be viewed by anyone under 18 and would have to be re-edited if the restrictions were to be lifted. According to a source, the video site have deemed that the flesh-flashing shots – which includes racy footage of male bottoms, a man rubbing his crotch and an S&M scene – are too saucy for younger viewers.

In an interview with US comedian Jimmy Fallon which aired on Facebook over the weekend, however, the Queen of Pop laughed off criticism of the video and claimed that the smutty material was simply reflecting the nature of the track, insisting:

I’m supposed to be a girl gone wild in the video! How could you go wild and not grind? This is the question that people should be asking.

Previously, a YouTube spokesperson stated: “While we don’t comment on individual videos, we review all videos flagged by our users against our community guidelines. In some cases we restrict flagged material that, while not in violation of those guidelines, contains images that may be unsuitable for younger users.”

Meanwhile, Madonna’s manager, Liz Rosenberg, said: “Some things never change. This is a throwback to [1990] when MTV refused to show ‘Justify My Love’.”

The video for ‘Girl Gone Wild’ was directed by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Madonna’s 12th studio album, ‘MDNA’, is out Monday (March 26).
