LSU vs Georgia, LSU vs Georgia Final Score: SEC Championship 2011 results “Here they are again”, said a Tigers fan. That’s after Georgia Bulldogs drilled in a touchdown and a field goal to have a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. It was another game when the LSU Tigers had a slow start in the offense.
It looks like an upset in the making as the second quarter ended with the score of 10-7 for the Georgia Bulldogs. To avoid a BCS mess, the LSU Tigers completely came back in the second half to grab the SEC Championship title 2011 and their secure entrance to the BCS Championship game in 2012.
LSU Tigers tamed the offensive attacks of the Bulldogs in the second half while their special teams made the difference in the ball game. Tyrann Mathieu ran for another 62 yard punt return for a touchdown then he followed it with a fumble recovery to make the Tigers total control of the ball game enroute to a 42-10 victory.
“My teammates love the name, and I think it depicts me on the field,” Mathieu said. “I just go with it. My teammates do a great job having my back. Anything I can do to help those guys, lift their spirits, I’ll do it. I think the Honey Badger does that sometimes.”
Mathieu provided life to the LSU Tigers players to keep on playing with the goal to win and to be in the BCS National title game. He sparked the team to make the necessary adjustments offensively and defensively so that they will win the SEC title.
