London Riot Woman LeapsLondon Riot Woman Leaps, A photographer captured dramatic images of a woman still jumping to safety after herLondon flat was set alight by protesters. The apartment on a street in south London was above a shop that police say was looted and burned by a group of troublemakers.

Riot police on the street and a firefighter was under the window waiting to catch the woman. Witnesses say the woman was forced to jump due to the intensity of the fire. Apparently, the woman suffered serious injuries after the jump.

A Scotland Yard official said that 525 people have been arrested in London after three days of “unprecedented” the riots.

The rioters seem to have little unifying cause – although some said they strongly oppose government spending cuts, which will drastically reduce welfare payments and cut thousands of jobs in the public sector until 2015.
