Now legendary Elizabeth Taylor jewelry was auctioned with an estimated price of more than 30 million dollars, Christie’s auction house announced Wednesday.
“This is certainly the largest private collection of jewelry ever assembled in one place, and Christie is proud to have been committed … the sale,” said Marc Porter, president and CEO of America Christie.
Many of the most extravagant, as a 33.19-carat flawless diamond ring, were gifts from her husband Taylor, Richard Burton.
The sale of more than 300 papers will be held in New York in mid-December with an exhibition of the collection that will include stops in Moscow, London, Los Angeles, Dubai, Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong.
