Lionel Richie Country Album, Lionel Richie will release a country album. The “All Night Long ‘hitmaker insists he set out deliberately to create a record in style, but I thought it was a” natural progression “to recreate some of his most famous successes in the popular genre.

He said: ‘Over a period of time that I realized I was writing songs translated to another. As a composer did not really start to think I was home, I was thinking it was RB. It was just a natural progression. I’m from Tuskegee, Alabama – I’m a country boy. That felt good to do this. ‘

The album, which features a series of duets with major country music stars like Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, is named after the birthplace of ‘Hello’ singer.

He added: “Growing up with the country, RB, gospel and classical music and pop my grandmother, Tuskegee was the perfect crucible my influences as a writer, and the title,” Tuskegee “is a validation of my growth is not – the place we call home.

“Tuskegee” will be released next March.
