Lindsay Buziak, The unsolved 2008 murder of Victoria real estate agent Lindsay Buziak be examined before a large audience in North America Friday night in the program Dateline NBC, a television magazine that attracts 11 million viewers each week.

Buziak was 24 when he was stabbed to death in a house in Gordon Head, where he had been attracted to a man and a woman claiming to be potential buyers. Saanich Police believe the couple who hired murderers, but have not been able to determine why he was attacked.

Buziak body was found by her boyfriend, Jason Zail, 15 minutes after his death.

Saanich police Sgt. Dean Jantzen said the department fully expects that the NBC program to bring the ends of the spectators.

“They tell us to talk with producers who generate tips for us. The numbers, in our opinion, will be in the hundreds and that is typical of previous production.”

Officers are prepared for what the response of the sample generates, Jantzen said.

“It will be monitored by our detectives. Each and every point will act accordingly.”

He said police worked with Saanich Dateline when the opportunity arose because it was an opportunity for the Buziak case presented to more people.

“Our detectives ran into a wall, and decisions were made to proceed with production Dateline.”

The department expects the program to make a difference, “said Jantzen.

“Bring 11 million viewers to the table which opens to a wider audience, which only we in southern BC and on the island.

“We want many people to see this as possible. No matter what our detectives to where you live. Do not know, could be international for that matter.”

Saanich Police is dedicated to solving the case, said Jantzen.

“Our detectives believe there are people out there who know far more than has been shared. Just look for the call that will help send our detectives in the right direction.”

Jeff Buziak, Lindsay’s father has expressed his frustration that the case remains unresolved. He said last month that he and a private investigator, along with others, five suspects have come and passed the information to the police.

The local tip line is 250-475-4356 in case, and one line of North American art has been added to 1-888-980-1919.
