Lexus Recall

Lexus Recall, Shares were mixed in Asia on Wednesday. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 Index sank 0.6% to 10,402, while in China, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.2% to close at 2709. Hong Kong Hang Seng Index edged up 0.2% to end the day at 23,843.

(UKPA) – Toyota pain continued today as the company announced the recall of about 1.7 million vehicles. Toyota said the recall is voluntary, warning that some Lexus models could have a pressure sensor for bulk fuel, eventually leading to a leak, and others may have faulty fuel pipes. Although the documents of the company bring problems of its fairly easy to correct, stocks fell today.

Links Toyota (TM) has suffered a dip of 1.9% in Tokyo, causing other Japanese automakers with her. Nissan plunged 1.3%, Fuji Heavy Industries, maker of Subaru brand, fell 1.1%, and Mazda fell 0.8%. Honda, meanwhile, has accumulated a 0.7% gain.
Automaker Toyota is recalling nearly 19,000 cars in the United Kingdom because of potential problems with their fuel systems, it was announced.

The company said hundreds of Toyota Avensis and Lexus IS 250 models could be at risk of fuel leakage and should be amended by the mechanics.

Toyota says there has been no accident suspected of being linked to defects, but it is the latest in a series of misfortunes quality control for the Japanese manufacturer.

Officials said they are writing to owners of affected vehicles to arrange repairs.

A statement issued by the company said: “Following feedback from customers in other markets worldwide, Toyota GB has today announced it will recall a number of his Toyota Avensis and Lexus IS 250 models in the United Kingdom to make certain changes to their fuel systems.

“He works with automotive and Operator Services Agency (Vosa) to contact the owners and registered holders by letter informing them of the procedure for taking their vehicles to an authorized service Toyota and Lexus to work necessary repairs to be done. ”

Approximately 15,500 owners of British Toyota Avensis 2.0-liter and 2.4 liters of gasoline models, manufactured between July 2000 and September 2008, are eligible for a free repair, which could take up to half past four.

About 3,100 in the United Kingdom registered Lexus IS 250 vehicles petrol engine, produced between August 2007 and February 2009 are also affected.

Jon Williams, managing director of Toyota GB PLC, said: “We are committed to putting the customer first and have a total focus on the quality of all our products we will contact our customers to complete repair procedures as efficiently as possible. with minimal disruption. ”

About 1.7 million Toyota vehicles are manufactured recalled worldwide because of defects.
