California Assembly Bill 376 to make it illegal to hold, sell, or trade in shark fins. The star, who is known for his defense of animal rights, wrote a letter in support of the bill and now is asking its fans to contact their senators and advocate for them to protect sharks and approve the project .

“This is our last chance. Please help,” wrote DiCaprio. Lawmakers to vote on this in the near future. Many animal activists believe that laws should be in place to protect animals. Even the sharks, with his fearsome reputation in reality rarely attack people.

According to KOIN, Leonardo DiCaprio also asked fans to sign a petition to encourage world leaders to adopt conservation of sharks. Sharks are actually one of the oldest creatures still living on Earth, and the loss of beings in general alter the balance of ocean life tremendously. By publicizing the plight of creatures does not work, then the laws that protect if necessary. Not enough for a state or country to protect them, either.

Other celebrities who have joined Leonardo DiCaprio in the cause to save the sharks are Scarlett Johansson, Kristen Bell, Ke and has, and Edward Norton. These celebrities are doing a great job for a good cause!
