Larsa Pippen, The Bulls unveiled a bust of Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen during a halftime ceremony Thursday with the broadcaster Neil Funk and executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson as hosts.
“You will always be a cornerstone of the Bulls organization,” said Paxson.
Pippen’s wife, Larsa, and their three children in search and the sellout crowd chanting “Scottie”, one of the sculptors unveiled the bust that showed a smiling Pippen in a Red Bulls uniform.
“This is really special,” said Pippen.
Pippen thanked his teammates, fans and family Reinsdorf.
“I never tried to do anything outside the team,” Pippen said. “This is truly an honor and a gift he did not expect.”
Like the bust of Johnny “Red” Kerr, Pippen image will be on permanent display at the 100 level concourse, this time near Gate 7. Local sculptors Omri and Julie Rotblatt-Amrany, who also created the statue of Michael Jordan Kerr and tribute, created the bust.
