Larry Wilcox, Larry Wilcox (born August 8, 1947) is an American actor, best known for her role as Officer Jonathan “Jon” Baker in CHiPs, an American television series.
Wilcox joined the Marines in May 1967 and served 13 months in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. He was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant E6 in 1973. Before his great fame, Wilcox attended Cal State Northridge, where he graduated.
As an accomplished biker, rider, racecar driver, and the jet skier, Wilcox many of his own stunts in the series. Unlike his co-star, Erik Estrada (who played “Ponch”), Wilcox never suffered major injuries. For the 1979-80 season, he and 25,000 per episode (the same amount Estrada). During his time on chips, Wilcox appeared on the cover of TV Guide three times, with Estrada.
Rumors of friction between the two had occurred late in the season 1978-79, but he calmed down after Estrada’s injury early in the 1979-80 season. Wilcox and Estrada were never best friends, and Wilcox confirmed that some of the rumors of dissension on the board were true. He added: “We’re just two totally different people.”
Wilcox married his first wife, Judy Vagner, on March 29, 1969, and then divorced in 1978. They had two children together: Derek and Heidi.
Second marriage Wilcox was born in Denmark Hannie Strasser, a technician with a sound assistant CHiPs time. The wedding took place April 11, 1980. Their daughter, Wendy, was born in 1982.
On April 22, 1986, Wilcox married his current wife, Marlene Harmon, a member of the 1980 Olympic team Heptathlon. They live in the San Fernando Valley with their two sons.
Today, Wilcox spends his time to various philanthropic projects, raise her two young sons and take care of his father and brother, who suffered a stroke.
On October 7, 2010, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued for fraud Wilcox stock.
In October 2010, Wilcox was charged with securities fraud by the SEC to manipulate the volume and prices of penny stocks illegally generate sales. On November 5, 2010, Wilcox pleaded guilty to securities fraud in Federal District Court in Florida. Authorities allege Wilcox tried to bribe undercover FBI agents thinking they were managers of pension funds. He faces up to five years in prison.
The actor who helped put behind bars wicked Ponch “CHiPs” was lucky, he will not spend time in a cell of himself after he was given a slap on the wrist in a bathroom Fort Lauderdale hearing Friday for pleading guilty to securities fraud.
Larry Wilcox spent three years on probation and serve 500 hours of community service, a federal judge ruled.
Wilcox would have organized a system of kickbacks that would lead to benefit from a pension fund for employees. A resident of California visited South Florida to meet with undercover FBI agents participating in a sting.
Wilcox pleaded guilty to federal charges in November. He faced no less than five years in prison.

Although character Ponch Erik Estrada gained much fame during the execution of five years of the series of successes, Baker left the TV series before his final season in 1982.
