Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. fanatics braved the rain in excitement for the doors of the Chuck Mathena center to open. Several fans told us that they were put on the waiting list before finally
“I’m just really excited,” fan Marsha Lawson said. “I wanted to see. I didn’t think it would get in because the tickets were sold out but I was put on the waiting list and we got the call on Tuesday so we have just been excited and ready to go.”
Fans of all ages came out to enjoy the show. And 8-year-old Anna Adkins is staying out past her bedtime for her first concert. She says there is no one else she would rather see for her first show than Landau.
“Woo hoo! That is all I can say,” Anna Adkins said.
For Landau there is nothing sweeter, than performing for a packed house in his home state.
“You know I get to share my talent with everyone here in my hometown and spent time with family and friends,” Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. said.
And Landau is giving back to our area. 59 news is teaming up with Landau and the salvation army to collect winter ware for those in need.
“This is the season of giving,” Landau said. “You know and people go through hard times. You know I’ve been there so this is why I give back as much as I possibly can. So just find the kindness in your heart and just give back to kids less fortunate people.”
