Lady Gaga Goes Drag For New Single Cover, A handful of artists to turn to her alter ego to do something different musically. Garth Brooks Chris Gaines had, Justin Bieber Mane Shawty rapping, Beyoncé unleash your inner bad girl as Sasha Fierce, and Lady Gaga becomes Jo Calderone for photo shoots.
Reminiscent of a scruffy Bob Dylan and Prince, Jo Calderone first appeared last year on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan in September 2010 and just returned to the cover of new single “You & I.”
Publicity stunt? Promotional tool? You be the judge. For Vogue Hommes Japan, Calderone was interviewed by stylist Nicola Formichetti Gaga and stated at the time:. “I thought it would be fun to have my photo shop I’d love to have my own car, I have a lot of my own” muscle “cars. Maybe if I take some more photos I can afford. I found it [...] [Gaga] at a meeting of Nick Knight was doing. She’s f * ckin beautiful and fun and interesting. I was a little nervous to start recording Nick. She said, ‘No baby, who was born this way. ” I took it out later. The rest is private. ”
On Friday, the singer tweeted the album with Calderone: “You will never find what you want in love, if you do not love yourself. # You ISingleCover &.”
Twitter cover appears to be part of a buildup that leads to the August 23 release of the single, which until now has been received warmly. Gaga, a few days before, he wrote: “The music video for” You and I “will be my 1,000 th Tweet.” Starting today, the pop star has tweeted 992 times.
The singer can be in more trouble than to have one table that is not well. Francescatti Rebecca Singer filed a lawsuit against the pop star, claiming recent song Lady Gaga “Judas” is similar to the 1999 Francescatti Track “Judah”. While on this surface this seems like a quick appropriation for the frame, former bassist Brian Gaynor Francescatti is now part of music company, he wrote 17 songs for Born This Way.
