Knoebels Amusement Resort, Drowning, Police are investigating an apparent drowning at Knoebels Resort.

Knoebels Resort near Elysburg crowded rides on horseback and enjoying the food on Saturday, but Lucille Coaldale Colburn and his family, who just wanted to go to the pool. When they arrived, they saw flashing lights and instantly knew something was wrong.

“Next thing I know, there is a golf cart behind us whistles, so to Kathy (his daughter) said commanded,” I wonder if there is an emergency, “and at that moment I realized I had the red light golf cart in the pool area.

A spokesman said Knoebels around 3 p.m. emergency services found an 8-year-old unresponsive in the shallow end of the pool crystal clear.

Both lifeguards and first aid equipment tried to save the child’s life and evacuated to the pool until it was taken to Geisinger Medical Center near Danville. The child did not survive.

Kathryn Colburn, mother of two, says that the news of the child’s death is heartbreaking.
