Kimsha Artest Quit Basketball Wives, Producers behind Basketball Wives LA have confirmed that Kimsha Artest is no longer a part of the show. Releasing a statement early Tuesday, claiming to be “disheartened,” Shed Media says Artest failed to show up for tapings after a “limited number of days” !

“When Kimsha Artest signed on to be in ‘Basketball Wives: LA,’ we were very excited to have her onboard. That is why we were confused and disheartened when after a limited number of days shooting she stopped showing up for filming. This is the sole and only reason Kimsha has not appeared on more episodes of the series,” VH1 and Shed Media said Tuesday. “Her minimal coverage on the show was entirely her decision and not that of Shed Media, VH1 or Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal.’Basketball Wives: LA’ continues to be a ratings success for VH1 every Monday night.”

The official statement from Shed Media and VH1 follows rumors that Artest had been involved in an altercation with Shaunie O’neal, posted negative comments directed towards Basketball Wives cast and an official response from her husband, Ron Artest (Metta World Peace), claiming she is not on the show because she does not like drama.

“Kimsha Artest does not like drama so that’s why yal have not seen her on the show,’ said Artest. “She doesn’t want to be seen representing females falsely.”
