Katy Perry Rihanna Duet

Katy Perry Rihanna Duet, Katy Perry has divulged details concerning her forthcoming duet with BFF Rihanna, stating that their song together will be “iconic.” Last week, RiRi confirmed plans of a track with Katy, telling Access Hollywood: “The song will probably come out in a while. I can’t say it’s happening right now, but it’s going to happen.”

Perry – who is tipped to top this weekend’s singles chart with new track Part Of Me – has now told Radio 1 Live Lounge host Fearne Cotton that despite the demand for their hook-up, they will not be rushing to release a tune.

The 27-year old explained: “We’ve collaborated on a lot of things, but just not songs yet. It’s one of those things that’s got so much build-up that we have to deliver.

“I want it to be like that Eurythmics and Aretha Franklin song ‘Sisters Are Doin’ It for Themselves’.”

The Firework singer continued: “But I definitely want to do something that is so iconic. [Rihanna's] kind of busy too. We’re both busy but we planted the seed two years ago.

“How disappointed would you be if that song came out and it’s no good? Sometimes you have to wait for greatness.”

As well as discussing her duet with RiRi, K-Pez also unleashed her inner hip-hop chick by covering Kanye West and Jay-Z’s tune Ni**as In Paris for Cotton’s show.
