Kate Middleton: Duchess Kate, Camilla & Queen

March 1, 2012 by staff

Kate Middleton: Duchess Kate, Camilla & Queen, Kate Middleton, The Queen and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall seemed to be getting on like a house on fire during a visit to luxury department store Fortnum & Mason today.

The royals ladies looked striking all dressed in different shades of blue, with Duchess Kate in a cornflower blue Missoni coat, the Queen in a sky blue coat and skirt by Angela Kelly, and Camilla dressed in a Bruce Oldfield navy blue coat with white stripes.

Kate also added a daffodil to her outfit, to mark St David’s Day. This is one of several royal visits the Duchess of Cambridge has made without her husband, Prince William, by her side in recent weeks, but it was her first alongside the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Looking relaxed and totally at ease in her new role, the duchess smiled and waved as she arrived at the store.

Greeted by dignitaries including London mayor Boris Johnson as well as crowds who had gathered Kate, Camilla and the Queen were also met with a small group who were protesting against the sale of foie gras.

Once inside the royals are to be given a tour of Fortnum & Mason’s famous food hall, and they will meet military personnel involved in the Gifts For Troops scheme, which sends packages to soldiers serving in Afghanistan.

They will also see a display of tea and biscuits, similar to those which will be sent to troops deployed overseas on operations during the Diamond Jubilee weekend.

In addition to that, the Queen is to meet people who have benefited from grants from the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (Qest), which is the charitable arm of the Royal Warrant Holders Association.
