Kate Middleton And The Queen

Kate Middleton And The Queen, The Duchess of Cambridge might be keeping busy with official visits, but the 30-year-old can’t wait for her husband to return from RAF duty in the Falklands. Kate Middleton looked the picture of happiness as she strolled alongside the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh during their first official Diamond Jubilee visit to Leicester yesterday.
But behind her wide smile the Duchess of Cambridge is in fact missing her husband of almost one year, Prince William, “terribly”, the 30-year-old revealed to one bystander, Laura Murphy, 30.
“I said ‘how’s William?’ and she said ‘he’s fine – I’m missing him terribly’,” Laura explained. Kate then added: “I’m being well looked after”.
The stunning duchess, who married William in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29 last year, spoke warmly to the crowds of hundreds who had gathered to catch a peek of Kate, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh yesterday.
Many had come armed with union jack flags and cameras, hoping to capture the important event which signals the beginning of celebrations to mark the Queen’s 60th year on the throne.
William is currently serving a six week duty with the RAF in the Falkland Islands, meaning the couple missed important dates such as their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.
But Kate hasn’t stayed at home pining; instead she’s been keeping herself busy while her husband is away, embarking on her first solo visit as an official member of the Royal Family to the Lucian Freud at the National Portrait Gallery in London in February.
And the duchess soon followed this up with a visit to Liverpool on February 14, that included a visit to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and The Brink, an alcohol-free bar run by Action on Addiction, a charity Kate is a patron of.
They may have been almost 8, 000 miles apart on the big day, but William didn’t let romance go out the window, with Kate revealing that her husband sent her card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
