Karen Swift Found, The body of Karen Swift was found in a rural area during the weekend. The Tennessee mother of four had been missing, and authorities confirmed Monday the body was her.

The death of the 44-year-old of Dyersburg is being investigated as a homicide, the Dyersburg State Gazette reported.

Swift’s body was found on Saturday afternoon, KAIT-TV, Jonesboro, Ark., reported. Using dental records, the medical examiner’s office in Memphis was able to identify the body as Swift’s, the TV station said.

On the night of Oct. 29, Swift had gone to a Halloween party and disappeared early Oct. 30. Her car was found abandoned near her home with a flat tire, reported.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box said Swift’s body was found a short distance from her house, concealed by undergrowth and vegetation, the Gazette reported.

The Huffington Post said Swift had filed for divorce on Oct. 11, citing irreconcilable differences, but, she and her husband, David Smith, were still living in at the same residence.
