Kamil Stoch, (AP) – Kamil Stoch won a World Cup race on the big hill on Sunday, while his compatriot Adam Malysz pole crashed and injured his knee.
It was the first Stoch World Cup with a total of 254 points after jumps of 123 and 128 meters.
Tom Hilde Norway came in second with 249.5 – and jumps of 123 and 127 meters – while Germany’s Michael Uhrmann was third with 246.
The 33-year Malysz was injured just two days after winning his first World Cup almost four years in Zakopane.
Malysz fell after a jump of 120 meters and had to be taken away for medical treatment. The news agency PAP quoted team doctor Aleksander Winiarski as saying the left knee injury is not serious Malysz.
