Justin Timberlake Dance Off
November 14, 2011 by staff
Justin Timberlake Dance Off, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE brought sxy back to the Marine Corps Ball on Saturday night.
Keeping a promise he made back in July (which in celebrity terms was forever ago), the “In Time” star got in sync with the arm of U.S. Marine Cpl. Kelsey de Santis, who asked Justin to be her date via YouTube – the Marine Corps version of Match.com.
As befitting the occasion, Justin wore a tux to the affair in Richmond, Va.
WTVR reported that a Marine wife said Justin “posed for pictures” and seemed normal.
But could he beat de Santis in a dance-off? Could he match her signature move, “The Dougie”?
“My friends keep saying, ‘Dance-off!’ They know about my skills,” the corporal told “Access Hollywood.” “I honestly don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with my group of people.”
No word if Kelsey and Justin ended up at some cheap hotel, remembering little of what happened in the morning.
“Of course, I’m single!” Kelsey said before the ball, not knowing if she might later lock lips with the former boy-bander. “I guess that’s all up to JT and what his plans are.”
JT, huh? That’s pretty friendly.
In other Marine Corps Ball news, Justin’s “Friends With Benefits” co-star Mila Kunis is slated for her big dance-floor date Friday.
Observe the Sabbath
The original four-man lineup of veteran British heavy-metal band Black Sabbath will record their first new album in 33 years – to be produced by Rick Rubin – and tour the world in 2012. Any differences the bandmates may have had have probably blown over in a haze of booze, drugs and memory loss.
Reuters reported that frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward made the announcement at the Whisky a Go Go on L.A.’s Sunset Strip, where the band introduced itself to the City of Angels 41 years ago.
“It’s now or never. We are getting along great. Everything’s really good,” Iommi told reporters. “It’s like putting on an old glove. It’s fantastic.” Yeah, but who knows where that glove has been.
Parents: No Grey matter
Some parents have filed complaints with the PTA of Compton’s Emerson Elementary School after former adult-film star Sasha Grey read to children in a classroom.
Mothers were outraged.
Fathers wanted to know why they weren’t invited.
Grey, 23, who starred in countless prn titles as well as HBO’s “Entourage,” was a guest earlier this month at Emerson Elementary for Read Across America Day.
Grey tweeted Nov. 2 that she spent the day reading to students in the first and third grades.
KTLA-TV quoted parents questioning whether it was appropriate to have Grey at the school.
Why not? Aside from being at the top of her profession, Tattle has interviewed Sasha and she’s smart and personable. We’re also sure she was not introduced as a “former prn star.” After all, it was Reading Day, not Career Day.
To her credit, Sasha dressed demurely in a periwinkle top and blue pants – no bustier – she read the colorfully illustrated “Dog Breath” by Dav Pilkey and the Compton kids probably had no idea who she was.
After word of the complaints reached her, Sasha issued a statement, which read in part, “I believe education is a universal right. I committed to this program with the understanding that people would have their own opinions about what I have done, who I am and what I represent.
“I am an actor. I am an artist. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a partner. I have a past that some people may not agree with, but it does not define who I am.”
