Klinsmann will replace New Jersey native Bob Bradley, who was dismissed from office on Thursday. The news of the hiring Klinsmann was first reported by

“We are excited to have Jurgen as head coach of our Men’s team,” said Sunil Gulati president in a statement released by the U.S. Football. “He is a player of great accomplishment and coach with experience and knowledge to advance in the program. J├╝rgen has been successful in many different areas of the game and look forward to the address provided on and off the field.”

Klinsmann will take over immediately and coach of the U.S. for the first time on August 10 in Philadelphia against Mexico in an exhibition game. A press conference to formally announce the hiring Klinsmann is scheduled for Monday in New York.

“I am proud and honored to be named coach of U.S. Men’s National Team,” Klinsmann said in a statement released by the U.S. Football. “I would like to thank the U.S. Soccer Federation the opportunity, and I’m excited about the challenge ahead. I have really wanted to bring the team together for our next match against Mexico and the game on the road qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2014. ”

Before Bradley was employed by the U.S. football after the 2006 World Cup, the federation aims to Klinsmann for the job. The resident of Southern California came from a surprisingly successful run to the semifinals of the World Cup as coach of Germany, and was admired for its attractive, attack-oriented style of play.

However, the parties disagreed on the amount of control Klinsmann will take over as national coach.

Klinsmann wanted to sculpt the organization of the quarry to the national team. The federation president Sunil Gulati have been reluctant to relinquish that responsibility to Klinsmann, and discussions between the parties did not materialize.

With Klinsmann said today reached an agreement (which will run through the World Cup 2014) is not clear which side gave up five years later. Klinsmann, who turns 47 Saturday, went to training after a career as a player floors 18. From the Germany coach, had an unsuccessful season as coach of Bayern Munich in Germany during the 2008-09 season. Klinsmann was fired from his job in April 2009 with a record of 09.09.25.
