Jorge Posada EmotionalJorge Posada Emotional, Jorge Posada was excited last night after losing New York Yankees’ division series for the American League Detroit Tigers.

The Yankee veteran of 16 years answered questions on what was probably his last game as a Yankee, before rushing out the tears, reports New York Daily News.

The “Core Four” member – who had two hits Thursday night – finished 6-for-14 (.429) in the series against the Tigers was not even sure he would play.

“Losing is hard, period, and lose at home is even more difficult,” deflates the five-time world champion admitted.

However, he insisted that there was any time during the game, when he allowed that this could be his last game as a Yankee, reports NY Daily News.

“It’s all about the game, trying to win the game. That’s all you think. I have no words. We lost,” Posada said.

The defeat added to a disappointing season for Posada. When he reported to spring training, he was told to abandon their obligations catcher and focus on being a full-time designated hitter.

Then on May 14, Posada asked to leave the alignment of the Yankees, Joe Girardi, when he placed ninth in the lineup for a high profile game against the Red Sox, the NY Daily News reports.
