January 25, 2012 by staff
John Kerry Broken Nose, The Boston Bruins were recently invited to the White House to celebrate their Stanley Cup victory with the president and some of congress’ biggest hockey fans. John Kerry decided to honor the team by showing up to the White House with a few hockey injuries of his own.
Kerry sported a broken nose and two black eyes during the ceremony last night. Kerry, 68, received his injuries during a recreational hockey game with some of his friends. So did John Kerry drop his gloves on his ice? Did he have his shirt pulled over his head? According to the Boston Globe, Kerry’s broke his nose when a rogue high stick hit him in the face.
Spokesperson Whitney Smith said that Kerry has been playing hockey for decades. He’s also a veteran participant in the Congressional Hockey Challenge, which raises money for the Fort Dupont Hockey Club.
Smith told ABC News:
“He’s totally fine. Very ironically he busted his nose recently playing ice hockey, so the Bruins can certainly relate.”
