Joe The Plumber, Joe the Plumber brush with fame could not be. Joe Wurzelbacher, who became a mainstay of the campaign, Republican presidential candidate John McCain in 2008, is considering a bid for the Republican nomination.
Rep Marcy Kaptur defy Wurzelbacher, Democrat of Ohio, Republican Party sources told The Toledo Blade.
The McCain campaign cited Wurzelbacher, or Joe the Plumber, as he called it, as a symbol of the middle class after Barack Obama pushed on a campaign stop about whether the candidate supported a tax increase that would hurt.
It is not “high level of interest in the national Republican Party,” in an attempt by Congress to Wurzelbacher, Jon Stainbrook, chairman of the Republican Party of Lucas County, told the paper.
“We encourage Joe to run. He has not taken any formal decision yet,” Stainbrook said.
