Partner of the actress, Morty Coyle, proposed to her in front of all their guests at the party at the Kibitz Room in Los Angeles.
“It was a total surprise,” Sweetin People magazine. “We are absolutely delighted and I’m still in shock!”
The couple has a 5-month daughter, Beatrix, who was also there for the big time, and Sweetin said she was delighted to be with relatives when it happened.
“I am happy that everyone was there,” she said. “The people filmed, it was great.” And the room was decorated specially for the occasion as well – although Sweetin did not know.
“My friend the whole place decorated with small diamonds on the table and touch others,” she said. Of course, those are not the only gems in question.
Her engagement ring, “is so beautiful,” Sweetin said of her 2.5-carat oval sapphire surrounded by 18 diamonds in the shape of a snowflake. It is “a one-of-a-kind original,” says Coyle, jewelers Hesz Erwin.
Yet it’s a little early to put the former “Full House” star (who also has a two year old daughter, Zoie, with her ex-husband Cody Herpin) on the wedding shows.
“We’re in no hurry since the dates or something like that,” Sweetin said, adding that gay marriage rights factor in their decision to wait. Ads Coyle: “We want to wait until there equality for all people to marry. ”
And if that day is not coming anytime soon? “That’s great,” Sweetin said. “We were absolutely determined before that, anyway. We are so excited. ”
Adds her new fiance of their good news: “Just because we were not married does not mean she does not deserve a ring.”
